Andre was born in Palermo, Sicily in Italy. His family immigrated to the United States of America in 1963 when Andre was ten years old. He was an artist from a very young age and encouraged by his teachers and fellow artists to develop his passion for the visual arts. His earlier works were inspired by the traveling circuses or canivals of Sicily. His most current works are of the stylish imagery found in the 1950's and 1960's American Cinema. Andre's work has become more narrative over the years, although he has always been an expressionist.
